🢂 THE BRIEF

Our client, a U.S based science, technology and engineering company, Head of Social Value identified a need to map its offer against the outcomes contained in the Social Value Model and support bid writers to write consistent social value answers which would score maximum points.

There was also a requirement to reduce the demand on resources involved with writing social value responses from scratch every time. 

Samtaler was commissioned to help create a comprehensive library of responses to social value questions.

🢂 THE APPROACH

We worked closely with the Head of Social Value to identify and interview key internal stakeholders and reviewed existing and corporate-level sustainability initiatives. Then, we conducted a gap analysis and mapped current company initiatives to the UK Government’s Social Value Model.  Where gaps were identified we suggested ideas for way these could be filled. We then used these findings to create a library of draft answers which align with each of the Social Value Model’s model award criteria.​​

🢂 THE RESULT

The Social Value Response Library provided consistency across the business, reducing time spent by bid reams writing, researching and costing social value responses; allowing Commercial teams to ‘self serve’; and reducing the demands on the Head of Social Value.​
